Salvatore Curatolo

Salvatore Curatolo has been involved in the restaurant business for 25 years.  Over that time he earned his Associates in Business Management and Paralegal from Suffolk County Community College.  His family has owned three different places in this time.  For the last five years he has been a managing partner of Sammy’s Restaurant & Pizza.  Mr. Curatolo oversaw the design and construction of Sammy’s from the beginning.  He transformed this facility from a “Mom & Pops” store to a one of the foremost recognizable restaurants in Suffolk County, New York.  He implemented new marketing techniques that have been duplicated across Long Island and Nationally.  In the start of 2007, Mr. Curatolo spearheaded the construction of a new Clubhouse facility at Pine Ridge Golf Club in Coram, NY while also being it’s Director of Food and Beverage.

Gaetano Curatolo

Gaetano Curatolo brings 40 years of restaurant experience to Italy Café.  He started his career in Coney Island, New York; thereafter he went onto managing and consulting multi-unit facilities located in malls throughout the east coast.  In 1980 he opened Park Avenue Restaurant & Pizza in Huntington, New York.  In 1993 he opened Gaetano’s Restaurant in Greenport, New York.  In 2003, Gaetano opened Sammy’s Restaurant & Pizza.  As of 2008, Sammy’s was sold and Gaetano is enjoying his retirement.  Over the past 20 years he has spent much time in his native land of Sicily.  While there, he tours Sicily and the main land of Italy discovering the latest dishes and fads to bring back to the United States.
